Introduction

OMCH Egészségügyi Szolgáltató Kft. was established in 2000 with the intention to operate endoscopy centres. During the years after its foundation, the company has won the right to operate endoscopy laboratories in several hospitals and clinics within the frame of public procurement procedures. The first centre was opened in National Medical Center (Országos Gyógyintézeti Központ), Budapest. Later, endoscopy department of the hospitals of Fejér County, Bács-Kiskun County, Szent Ferenc Hospital Budapest and the Hospital of Hatvan, as well as that of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine, Semmelweis University have been placed under the control of OMCH. At present, OMCH performs examinations at the endoscopy department of the Hospital of Bács-Kiskun County and Szent Ferenc Hospital; the other centres have been returned to the hospitals due to owner-change or contract expiration. In addition to the above, we also operate private gastroenterological departments in Székesfehérvár and Pápa, with the participation of local gastroenterologists.

OMCH Kft. is in 100% owned by Hungarian individuals.

Since 2007 also the distribution of endoscopic and other medical devices and accessories, as well as representation of foreign manufacturers have been integrated into our business activities.

Endoscopic accessories of Wilson Instruments Co. Ltd. distributed at favourable prices under the brand name Heyinovo are comparable in quality to products of high-reputation companies (Olympus, Fuji); low prices promote cost-effective operation of gastroenterological departments.

Guidewires and biliary stents of BlueNeem company also represent a high quality product range with the best price/value ratio on the market.

Cleantop WM-S endoscope desinfectant offered by the Japanese company Kaigen works with electrolyzed saline; cost of the salt required for the production of this saline plus the cost of the whole disinfecting process is only a small portion of that required by chemical disinfection.

Furthermore, OMCH Kft. represents the American-Israeli company Spatz that manufactures a state-of-the-art intragastric balloon used for weight reduction.

Our results

In our centres, we perform more than 25 000 examinations per year using cutting-edge video-endoscopy techniques with great patient-satisfaction. It amounts to approximately 7 to 8% of all examinations performed in Hungary. Beside the diagnostic applications, also endoscopic surgery and therapy are increasingly used, replacing a number of conventional surgical interventions.

Our centres are managed by higly trained gastroenterologists. These specialists carrying out diagnostic and therapeutic procedures have several years of experience in endoscopic examinations. Introduction of new methods encourages the scientific progress of our specialists.
